Optical Data Storage and Laser Fabrication Lab
Part of the Optical Sciences Centre, this laboratory consists of three facilities.
Large Area Pulsed Laser Fabrication Facility
This facility is primarily used for high peak power laser fabrication and ablation to create photonic periodic structures and solar cells. Femtosecond pulses with pulse width at 200 fs with pulse energies reaching up to 1 mJ can be generated at broad wavelength range from visible to mid-infrared.

Multidimensional Optical Data Storage Material Characterisation Facility
This facility is used for optical data storage material characterisation including multidimensional data storage, multilayered data storage and high capacity recording using nanoparticles, nanomaterials and nonlinear polymer materials.

Superresolution and Raman Microscopy Facility
This facility is equipped with Nikon Super-Resolution Microscope (N-STORM), Atomic Force Microscopy/Raman Spectroscopy/Scanning Near Field Optical Microscopy (AFM-Raman-SNOM, NT-MDT) for 2D material and single biomolecules characterisation for biomedical applications.
