Important notes to consider
Polimi is a competitive destination with extremely limited places. As such, please put careful consideration into choosing your second and third preference as back-up options.
Other notes to consider:
- Bachelor level courses are primarily taught in Italian, although some courses offer academic support in English. It is strongly recommended that students to have at least a B1 level of Italian before arriving, as this is crucial for successfully completing course assignments. Bachelor level students will find a greater availability of courses in English during Swinburne's Semester 1. For this reason, it is recommended students plan their exchange for this semester.
- Master level courses have more classes taught in English and are open to Master level students or Bachelor level students in their third year of university at Swinburne (have attended at least 2 years).
- Additionally, students may pick courses at both levels if all prerequisites are met and the school gives approval.
Courses available for exchange students
You may choose courses within the School of Design and School of Engineering only. Refer to the education offer for the Laurea (equivalent of Bachelor), Laurea Magistrale (equivalent of Master) programmes.
Note: when selecting units, please also consider the course selection rules for the chosen study area.
Credit equivalence
30 ECTS = 50 CP
22.5 ECTS = 37.5 CP
