About our centre

The Centre for Quantum Science and Technology Theory aims to help solve the wide-ranging challenges in theoretical physics for the modern world. We bring together internationally renowned academics and state-of-the-art facilities to deliver research outcomes with real-world impact.

Our areas of research focus include ultra-cold atoms to genetics, computational science, quantum information, condensed matter and the foundations of quantum mechanics.

Our mission is to push the boundaries of current scientific understanding in quantum technology theory and uncover new principles that can transform technology and society.

Our interdisciplinary approach enables us to integrate knowledge from various fields, fostering innovations that address real-world challenges and contribute to advancements in both fundamental and applied sciences.
