This student leadership program will take you for two weeks to engage with various industries and communities in Indonesia. You will attend seminars, meetings, and company visits to interact with leaders, whilst also reflecting on your own sense of professional identity for improved employability.

Overview
A fourteen-day Study Tour of Indonesia (Yogyakarta and Jakarta) which has been designed exclusively for high-achieving students.
During the 2 weeks, you will:
- observe leadership values and traits, entrepreneurial thinking and innovation
- observe community activities and develop your understanding of corporate responsibility, ethics and sustainability within a cultural context
- be exposed to an exciting, challenging and intensive environment
- work in cross-disciplinary teams to create solutions for real people
- Identify and build cultural competencies
- develop your sense of professional and leadership identity for improved employability
Highlights
This study tour is an immersive in-country experience that is supported by a purposefully designed reflective pedagogy. This will include:
- Reflections on learnings from tour experience (work specific & intangible learnings beyond work specific skills)
- Interdisciplinary knowledge and learning
- Cultural competencies (awareness, adaptability and intelligence)
- Resilience
- Adaptability
- Curiosity
- Self-evaluation of employability capabilities and skills, pre and post tour
- Engaging in a learner mindset – questioning, curiosity, openness….

The program combines scholarly exploration of intercultural communications, leadership, and sustainability with activities including industry visits, seminars, and meetings with government officials plus cultural excursions. Some of the visits and collaborations include various Indonesian start-ups, University Gadjah Mada, Australia Embassy, Indonesia Australia Business Council, and Australia Indonesian Alumni.

Eligibility
To qualify for this program, you must:
- be enrolled into an Undegraduate degree
- have completed 100 credit points when applying
- have a distinction (70+) average

Funding
New Colombo Plan Mobility Grants
This program has 24 x A$3,000 Australian Government New Colombo Plan grants. These grants are available to Australian undergraduate students (with no citizenship or residency rights to Indonesia), who have not previously received an NCP short-term grant.
Grants are allocated on a rolling basis and students are automatically considered for a grant as part of the application process.
OS-HELP Loan
Eligible Australian students can apply for an Australian Government OS-HELP Loan of up to A$9,504 to help cover costs associated with your overseas program.
