Coming to Swinburne
Swinburne has a long history of making international students feel at home and providing them with the support they need to succeed both academically and personally.
There’s a wealth of information available on our website to help international students prepare and plan for their arrival into Australia. We can also arrange a variety of accommodation options (such as on-campus, off-campus or homestay accommodation) for them and we even provide an airport welcome and transfer service.
A special week-long orientation program for exchange and study abroad students is run just prior to the start of each semester to help them familiarise themselves with their school, the campus and living in Melbourne.
Any exchange or study abroad student who arrives before orientation can also attend our welcome session. At the session, they are given essential information, greeted by a friendly face and introduced to other students, so they can feel at home right away.
