Indigenous Studies
Examine the contemporary and historical experiences of the world’s oldest living and continuing culture with our Indigenous studies courses.
You’ll learn about fundamental Indigenous cultures, including respect and relationships, connection to country, and kinship. You’ll investigate imperialism and colonialism, and form a deep knowledge of the issues that define Indigenous peoples experiences as Australian citizens in post-colonial society.
At Swinburne, we believe it's important to have accurate knowledge of the history and challenges faced by Indigenous communities. ‘Unlearn’, ‘Learn’, and ‘Act’ and develop a deep understanding of Indigenous Australian history, knowledge, entrepreneurship, representations and resilience.
