Overview

This intensive industry training workshop, hosted at the Siemens Swinburne Energy Transition Hub, will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of power systems and PSS®E expert skillsets needed in the energy sector.

We will commence with exploration of power system fundamentals and complexities, followed by hands-on learning with selected power system components to understand their key characteristics.

You will also learn about the PSS®E software for project creation, load modelling, load flow analysis, and power flow results interpretation. In addition, we will also cover fault-level calculations at network buses and grid connection regulations.

This course is for a wide range of participants regardless of prior experience in power systems, including industry professionals seeking to deepen their knowledge, faculty members looking to expand their expertise, or beginner-level students in the field of power systems.

    Mehdi is the Director of Siemens Swinburne Energy Transition Hub and a renowned expert in renewable energy, microgrids, smart grids and AI-integrated energy systems.
  • Jose Moreira

    Jose is General Manager at Siemens who leads the Grid Software Team. He is an industry luminary with extensive local and global experience on power system networks and energy markets.
