Develop your entrepreneurial and leadership strengths with the Master of Business Administration (MBA). Renowned for its industry connections, our MBA delivers practical learning with a focus on leadership and change, innovation and entrepreneurship, ethical practices, and social responsibility. It equips you with the capacity to start new ventures and initiate organisational improvements.
Study structure
Successful completion of the Master of Business Administration requires students to complete units of study to the value of 200 credit points. All units of study are valued at 12.5 credit points unless otherwise stated.
- Full-time study: 100 credit points/eight standard units of study per year
- Part-time study: 50 credit points/four standard units of study per year
- One credit point is equivalent to one hour of study per week per semester (including contact hours and private study)

Learning outcomes
At the completion of the Master of Business Administration, graduates will be able to:
- apply coherent and advanced knowledge of business concepts in diverse contexts and applications using critical thinking
- Apply problem-solving, design and decision-making methodologies to identify and provide innovative solutions to complex problems with intellectual independence
- Communicate proficiently in professional practice to a variety of audiences, function as an effective member or leader of a team, and use advanced tools and practices of business within project work
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, ethical conduct, professional accountability and a deep awareness of professional practices in a global and sustainable context
- Apply business fundamentals to the analysis, design and operation of a business model using appropriate business methods and tools, applied in a variety of contexts
- Reflect on, and take responsibility for, learning and self-management processes
- Apply knowledge of research principles and methods to plan and execute a piece of research with some independence

Course rules
To qualify for the award of Master of Business Administration students must complete 16 (or equivalent) units (200 credit points) comprising:
- four [4] foundation units (50 credit points)
- eight [8] core units (100 credit points)
- four [4] units comprising one specialisation or 4 elective units (50 credit points)
Graduate skills

Maximum Academic Credit
The maximum level of credit that can be granted for the Master of Business Administration is 100 credit points (normally 8 units). The exception to this rule is for students entering with a Graduate Diploma of Business Administration who may be granted up to 125 credit points of advanced standing (normally ten units).
