Mathematics programs
Be amazed by cutting-edge mathematics and get a glimpse of the ever-evolving world of mathematical research.
At Swinburne, we bring the latest in applied mathematics research to a school audience through our annual Archimedes Lecture and the CSIRO Mathematicians in Schools program.
Archimedes Lecture
Each year during National Science Week, Swinburne’s Department of Mathematics partners with the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute to deliver an informative and entertaining public lecture by a guest mathematician.
It’s recommended for keen secondary school students. High school mathematics teachers also find this a great opportunity to catch up on cutting-edge mathematics and meet tertiary colleagues over pre-lecture refreshments.
Check out our Events page closer to August to find out more.
STEM Professionals in Schools program
This national volunteer program facilitates partnerships between schools and industry to bring mathematics into the classroom.
