Medibank also sponsors the Swinburne Cycling Club.

The partnership has seen Swinburne students participating in Professional Placements and Professional Internships at Medibank. These have provided valuable industry experience to the students and fresh insights and perspective for the business. Some students stayed on in full-time roles.

Swinburne is currently delivering education programs to Medibank employees on leadership, management and customer service.

Both Swinburne and Medibank are focused on the health and wellbeing of students and the wider community. Under the partnership, Swinburne staff, students and alumni have access to benefits and discounts across Medibank’s insurance range, including health, pet and travel insurance.

Medibank is also the preferred provider of Overseas Health Cover to international students at Swinburne.

Swinburne Medibank co-designed and now co-delivers the Managing Workplace Diversity and Inclusion unit as part of the AGSE’s, Master of Human Resource Management course.  This unit introduces students to the roles diversity and inclusion have in enhancing the performance of employees and their organisation.

  • “We can share our experiences as a business with health at its core, while having access to the diversity of thought and enthusiasm that AGSE [Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship] students bring.”
