Our cultural events
Swinburne World Kitchen Day
Our annual Swinburne World Kitchen day is an opportunity for our migrant student communities to share their traditional dishes, and how these foods connect to their home countries.
Lunar New Year
Each year, Swinburne celebrates the Lunar New Year with activities such as an on-campus lion dance and a celebratory dinner function with external stakeholders.
Diwali festival
Each year we celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, with a fun, loud and colourful event on campus. Staff and students come to experience Bollywood performances and lessons, fashion parades and food from all over India.
Ramadan
During Ramadan, we hold a special Iftar event to recognise the role that the Swinburne Islamic Society plays in Swinburne’s commitment to religious tolerance.
