Georgina Tan is quite clear about why she gives to her alma mater:
“The reason I donate is because my university experience at Swinburne provided me with invaluable personal and career development. Hopefully my contributions will mean someone else can have the same great experience I enjoyed.” Georgina graduated with a Bachelor of Business in Marketing in 2010 and is still full of enthusiasm for the university.
“Swinburne gave so much to me. I found all my university lecturers were really good—always happy to help me achieve what I wanted to achieve while I was there. I was offered a scholarship to help fund my education, got to do an internship at Disney and was able to go on a student exchange to Boston.
My experience at Swinburne really defined where I was able to head in my career and what employment opportunities I have been able to secure since."
Since graduating, Georgina has gained diverse experience in the marketing field, including digital strategy, product marketing, retail marketing, sponsorship and events.

“The overall quality of the education that Swinburne offered me was just outstanding,” she says.
“With small classes you get a great deal of personal input from your lecturers – and that really makes a difference when you are trying to navigate your way through tertiary education.
When I look back on my university experience, I could not be more glad that I chose to study at Swinburne.”
